The Recording Academy is a non-profit music organization that recognizes artistic excellence, advocates for music creators, and supports the music community. As their Social Media Marketing Intern for 10 months, I was in charge of assisting in planning and executing their initiatives, campaigns, and event activations along with other responsibilities.

The 67th GRAMMY Awards

  • Worked on-site at the 67th GRAMMY Awards as a Social Media Assistant, managing real-time coverage for @recordingacademy on Instagram.

  • Sourced and posted images from Getty, independently writing copy and ensuring timely updates.

  • Oversaw the distribution of GRAMMY.com articles across Facebook, X, Threads, and YouTube Community while creating UTM links for tracking.

  • Facilitated seamless media coordination and content distribution backstage at the GRAMMYs Media Center, enhancing the event's digital presence.


2025 GRAMMY Nominations

  • Worked on-site at the Recording Academy office during the 2025 GRAMMY Nominations Livestream, managing real-time digital coverage.

  • Tracked GRAMMY.com articles and generated UTM links for performance analysis.

  • Managed live posting on X and YouTube Community, ensuring timely updates as nominations were announced.


GRAMMY House

  • Developed social media marketing execution plans for GRAMMY House 2025, including a TikTok Challenge and Digital Countdown Kickoff.

  • Created strategies to engage artists, influencers, and fans in GRAMMY House Instagram and TikTok livestreams.

Music Advocacy Day

  • Contributed to the 10th anniversary of Music Advocacy Day, where Recording Academy members met with congressional representatives nationwide to discuss key music industry issues.

  • Tracked Academy members' meetings with their U.S. representatives.

  • Managed Facebook updates, posting real-time content highlighting these meetings.


  • Responsible for creating copy and posting the conversations on Instagram. Topics that were discussed included: Utilizing new technology in music, building a personal brand, life for songwriters, and more.

GRAMMYs Bridges the Gaps


Songwriters & Composers Town Hall

  • Responsible for creating copy and posting the conversations on Instagram. Topics that were discussed included: Understanding Publishing Deals, Understanding AI, Compensation, Termination Rights, Understanding Royalties, and the Impact of Social Media in the Music Industry.


Hispanic Heritage Month

  • Researched Hispanic artists who have been nominated for or won GRAMMYs for Hispanic Heritage Month content.

  • Collected song lyrics, interview quotes, and GRAMMY portraits for social media posts.

  • Created copy and graphics for featured posts, as shown below.


    • Conducted market research on Sprout Social to identify trends and opportunities relevant to the music industry.

    • Supported the development of creative strategies to amplify brand visibility and engagement.

    • Monitored & engaged with Instagram online communities, ensuring alignment with the Recording Academy’s tone & values.

    • Collaborated with the Marketing team to brainstorm and create engaging digital content.

    • Edited, proofread, and optimized content to ensure consistency, quality, and relevance to current social trends.

    • Provided logistical support for marketing and social media activations during the 2025 GRAMMY nominations + 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

    • Documented event moments for use across the Academy’s platforms.

    • Assisted in coordinating with internal & external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
